To maintain an up-to-date evidence base for our 8-week Mindfulness for Stress course, Breathworks invite those attending to participate in a series of online questionnaires. Using scientific scales, we measured various areas of physical and emotional wellbeing over time over a 14-month period.

Our 2022 analysis found improvements in the following areas, both immediately after the course, and up to 12-months later:

  • 73% reported greater self-compassion
  • 68% reported decreased isolation
  • 67% reported improved quality of life
  • 87% of participants initially presenting with depression and 79% presenting with anxiety reported a reduction in symptoms by the end of the course.
  • Reductions in the extent to which fatigue interferes with daily living
  • Increased level of mindfulness

In addition, our Mindfulness for Stress course was awarded an average 9.1/10 star rating across 95 course participants between 2021-2022.

"I had no idea how transformational this course would be! The shift in mindset is profound. The skills to take back ownership of your thoughts and reframe your negative patterns is absolutely life changing. Thank you for sharing these teachings in such a manageable week to week structure. This really gives time for the practices and material to become embodied and truly experienced in everyday life. Imagine if these beautiful skills were taught to our children in school before they became stressed out adults." - 2021 Mindfulness for Stress course participant
